Get that Bred
Following hot on the heels of the White/Black re-release, Nike SB dive back into the archives of the iconic silhouette once again, this time dropping the P-Rod 1 in a timeless Bred colourway. Two decades since the original, the legendary Paul Rodriguez Zoom Air Low returns, draped in a black, grey and red colour palette, a nod to Nikes history and a heritage colourway.
The P-Rod 1 isnt just a shoe; it was a defining moment in skateboards long and storied history. It marked the launch of the deepest signature line Nike SB has ever produced, showing what it meant to blend style and performance through a skateboarding lens. Now the same silhouette that started it all is back with a varsity-red perforated suede Swoosh, contrasted by a base of charcoal and black suede throughout the upper.
Like its White & Black counterpart, it retains the P-Rod monogram embroidery on the heel panels, this time on velvety black suede panelling, bringing a refined touch to the affair. Adding to the upper, a rounded perforated toe-box, patterned mesh tongue and matching red Nike branding on the heel tab.
Underneath its all classic: pulled together through solid cupsole construction, the midsole stays crisp in white, housing the visible Zoom-Air unit you need for real cushioning underfoot, while the outsole sticks to the black & red pairing youd expect from a Bred homage. The 2025 iteration adds extra tech with an enhanced carbon plate for improved impact cushioning. The balance between board feel and support stands firm, delivering the same flick and feel as the original 2005 release.
